Special thanks to the WECC Meeting in Salt Lake City for this podcast!!!
This is Stephanie Swindle and Beth Lay - both are HP professionals in the Utility Industry and both are amazing.  This is an All-Girl power podcast on "How To Do Operational Learning at the Worker Level."  You are going to love this podcast.
Talking about learning is very differnt then going out to actually learn and improve.  Here is a conversation/presentation that discusses that very issue.  I promise that this will be a keeper in the annals of podcasting history.
This episode is sponsored by ORCHSE.com.  Thank them for their service.   And thank yo for listening.  You make the podcast a hit.  Without you it is just data.   Ta Ta!!

Knowing less does not make you smarter.  You don't know what you don't know...and you don't know a lot about your operations...  there is good news!  There are people in your organization that are smarter about how work is done AND they work for you!
In a part of our ongoing effort to shift the way we see our workers - from problems to be fixed to solutions to be harnessed - this episode is built upon the idea that by simply going out and learning you have a weapon to combat Management Bias...
Thanks for listening to the podcast.  You make the show go.  We are the most popular podcast on safety and reliabilty in the world.  Thanks for that.

It is that time of year again in the Unitied States.  The time where we sat an entire thursday aside, eat turkey and all the fixins, and become thankful.
This episode of the PreAccident Podcast does the same thing this episode.  We take a day to think about how we also must be thankful.  Special prize at the ending.
Thanks for listening to this episode.  Tell your friends and be ready for some super sweet podcasts in the very near future - hint - it rhymes with mekker.

Safety Moment Alert!  I love this episode and I thought of it doing the last episode.  We don't predict the future - we can't really predict the future worth a crap!  What we can do a much better job at doing is to learn to predict the present.  Knowing what is happening helps us understand what will happen.
Thanks for listening to the podcast.  You make the show go!   Tell your friends and coworkers to listen to this and all the other episodes.  We will slowly change the world.  Yay!

Meet Drew Rea, he's a professor at Griffith University in Brisbane.  He is a leading safety thinker, has his own podcast, writes books, speaks at big safety conferences, and is an all-around good guy.   He tells us about the power of story in our safety and operational learning.
Listen to this episode.  You will lean much and think about new ideas for safety leadership and safety program.   This episode is sponsored by ORCHSE.com.  Thank them for listening.

This safety moment is pretty ding-dang important.  We must use certain language to describe uncertain outcomes...Because we cannot predict what will happen exactly, we must use the language we use to describe the question in the most specific way we can possibly can.   That is our charge.  That is our job.
This episode is short and sweet, and yet it is very powerful.   Thanks for listening to the podcast.  You make the show go!  Tell your friends - tell you coworkers - tell everybody.  Thanks!

Welcome Dave Fink and Patrick Morris to this episode of the PreAccident Podcast.  I am so glad to have them with us for this discussion.  I never get the chance to talk to Project people - because they are project people.  Project people almost never have time to sit around a talk.  Major Capitol Projects suck all the attention out of any organization.  They are complex animals.  The demand Attention.
This talk has a focus on leadership and capacity to project work successfully.  You will notice that I have them define success.  It is all about the customer.
This episode is sponsored by ORCHSE.com.  Thank them if you can for their support!

I am pretty convinced that we don't want a just culture.  What we want is a leadership culture that is just.   Think that one over....
I started thinking about the idea that we cannot attach culture to something as amorphous as safety.... it must be true of something just as amorphous as justness...
Enjoy this discussion.   Think about it a bit.
