Jim Klienstuber is back to talk to us about the slip, trip, and fall simulation system that he trains and supports all over the world. You will not believe how much this baby has changed.
I love talking with Jim. He is what Safety 2 sounds like in practice.

This month the documentary "Safety Differently" was released withou restriction to the entire world. It is a 30 minute story of three organizations that changed the way they viewed safety and, in turn, changed themselves for the better.
This project was crowd-funded and is a beautiful and effective story of what a journey to change looks like - for organzations that want to be even safer, even more robust, even more effecite. These are organizations that want to experience safety differently.
Sidney Dekker and his partners in the documentary don't tell or lecture the audience - they simply allow three stories to emerge into one theme. Hope in each other.

Given the current news - this podcast safety moment is pretty timely. There is never just one reason a system goes out of balance - never - and that is worth talking about with your folks.
When you hear a talking head on television say there is not just one issue here - your answer should be yes that is true.

On September 29, 2017, Lt. General Jay B. Silveria, Administrator of the United States Air Force Acadamy gave the entire organization a chance to improve - he could have punished, he could have sough revenge, he could have responded entirely emotionally - but he chose not to...he chose to respond by improvement.
When something bad happens leaders can either blame and punish or they can learn and improve.
