You are going to get the chance to learn about one of the more important thinkers in new safety.   Listen and see  if you like what the most famous Professor Kurt Lewin has to teach us about humans and systems.
Lewin, Rodgers, and the rest of these guys have created the path that we now all travel.  I love what Professor Lewin has to teach us.  You will too.

This is a fun episode and I realy enjoyed the chance to put this together.  Nothing happened the way I would have imagined it would happen - but that makes for a fun podcast conversation.
Andrew is a friend of the Pod and a pretty hardcore listener.  He also has a podcast all his own.  Safety on Tap is a podcast that provides motion, guidance, and attention to poeple just like ourselves.

Ivan is back!
...and we had quite a little conversation about life, dogs, safety, reliability, and spaghetti.   Some of my favorite subjects.   We tackle the need for organizations to be smarter and learn more effectively.
Not an easy topic to be certain.   See how we did and tell us what you learned.

Jim Klienstuber is back to talk to us about the slip, trip, and fall simulation system that he trains and supports all over the world.  You will not believe how much this baby has changed.
I love talking with Jim.  He is what Safety 2 sounds like in practice.

I have really been profoundly impacted by all the bad things that are happing.  Hurricanes and Fires have impacted folks accross the USA.
This safety moment talks about the way an organization restores itself.
This is an important factor for us to spend time and thinking...we must understand the power of restoring our world.  Maybe this will help.

This month the documentary "Safety Differently" was released withou restriction to the entire world.  It is a 30 minute story of three organizations that changed the way they viewed safety and, in turn, changed themselves for the better.
This project was crowd-funded and is a beautiful and effective story of what a journey to change looks like - for organzations that want to be even safer, even more robust, even more effecite.  These are organizations that want to experience safety differently.
Sidney Dekker and his partners in the documentary don't tell or lecture the audience - they simply allow three stories to emerge into one theme.   Hope in each other.

This came out of a class I helped to deliver the other day.
I think this story is the best example of the opposite nature between blame and learning.
